Crescent City Prayer

I selected the players on this CD because I felt they all have a special congruency towards the music. I heard this intuitively when I wrote the compositions. The musicians all have a creative energy and have contributed their own sounds to each piece.

The Crescent City Prayer is the title piece of my CD. This song was written to recreate the impact of Katrina followed by the tranquility of hope and inspiration for the people of New Orleans.

Having lived and worked in New Orleans from 1970-1979 I have been influenced by the musical senses of the city. This unique and wonderful culture exudes a special aura that I wanted to capture on this CD. New Orleans is an experience.
